 Help > Meet the Owner Biography. Dave Pierce is the Founder of eSellOut.com. Pierce was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2004, he earned a Bachelors Degree in Marketing with a focus on Sports Communications from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Since graduation, his career path has taken him from working in minor league baseball with the Hagerstown Suns to owner of a ticket website. A serial entrepreneur, Pierce's first endeavor, after a few bake sales and lemonade stands, was selling sports tickets on eBay in February, 1999. During his college years, his ticket selling business grew to the point where he was able to hire fellow college classmates to purchase tickets directly from extremely popular teams such as the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. By creating a network of buyers, Pierce was not only able to build the quantity of tickets he had to sell but ultimately his reputation to get tickets for premium events In 2002, Pierce moved away from selling tickets on eBay and created his own ticketing website, eSellOut.com with the vision of being able to offer tickets to any sporting event in the USA known to man. Putting his marketing knowledge to work he was able to grow this business and join the TicketNetwork®. Today eSellOut.com has grown into a premiere website that offers tickets to events all over the world.
